Horizon Bound: Legacy

We are currently working on "Horizon Bound: Legacy", a continuation of the original story that the Young Artists' Initiative's graduating class of 2021 have developed.

Our new students will work with our industry partners to develop additional content that expands on Horizon Bound's universe.

Horizon Bound is a fantasy-adventure RPG that the Young Artists' Initiative's 2021 graduating class developed for their final project.

Male Roles

Sun

Age: 17-21
Gender: Male
Accent: Standard American is preferred, but not compulsory. You may audition with any accent you prefer.

Sun is a brigade leader who has been transferred from the Eastern Empire. Friendly and charismatic, he makes its new recruits feel at home, and gives them valuable advice that helps them with their training.

Lines:

(Happy) Hail and well met! You must be my regiment's newest recruit.
(Neutral) Let's go. You'll get your license once you're registered at the Guild's main office.

Asher

Age: 17-21
Gender: Male
Accent: Standard American is preferred, but not compulsory. You may audition with any accent you prefer.

Asher is an assistant wizard who has been transferred from the Northern Kingdom. Although he seems shy and reserved, he warms up quickly to those who he respects.

Lines:

(Shocked) Oh! Forgive me, friend. You startled me.
(Neutral) I didn't think I'd find anyone in the Alchemic labs in the middle of the night.

Vernon

Age: 30-40
Gender: Male
Accent: Standard American is preferred, but not compulsory. You may audition with any accent you prefer.

Brave and diligent, Vernon leads the knights in the Crown Allies with his twin sister. His weapon of choice is his halberd, with which he has won many battles.

Lines:

(Neutral) This exercise will test your abilities. Those who fail my assessment will be expelled from the regiment.
(Determined) Arm yourself! Show me what you've got.

Female Roles

Mei

Age: 17-21
Gender: Female
Accent: Standard American is preferred, but not compulsory. You may audition with any accent you prefer.

Bubbly and energetic, Mei is a sous chef in the Crown Allies' kitchen, who befriends almost everyone she meets. She gives players elixirs, beverages and dishes that will heal them in battle.

Lines:

(Happy) Greetings, recruit! May I take your order?
(Neutral) Yikes. That sounds like a tough mission. Give me a sec, and I'll find something that'll help you with your quest.

Evelyn

Age: 17-21
Gender: Female
Accent: Standard American is preferred, but not compulsory. You may audition with any accent you prefer.

Evelyn, a skilled archer, comes from a family that is renowned for crafting magical arrowheads. She is a skilled markswoman, who is happy to share her knowledge with the warriors in her regiment.

Lines:

(Happy) Hail and well met! Are you ready to train?
(Neutral) Steady, recruit. Keep your arrows in the quiver until you're ready to shoot.

Rowena

Age: 30-40
Gender: Female
Accent: Standard American is preferred, but not compulsory. You may audition with any accent you prefer.

Rowena is a commander in the Crown Allies, and leads its knights with her twin brother. Stalwart and resilient, Rowena is a skilled swordsman and a fearless leader.

Lines:

(Neutral) Be cautious. You should not be timid, nor must you underestimate your opponent.
(Determined) Raise your sword. Your training has begun!

There are two main ways you can reach us. You may choose to submit your files through our website, or to our email.

Here are some tips to guide you with the route you prefer:

Record 1-3 takes of each line for the character(s) you are auditioning for, and label it as * CharacterName_FirstName-LastName.mp3 * (e.g. CharacterName_Barry-Allen_01.mp3).
Upload your files in the correct fields in the "Submission Form" section.
Complete each field in the application form below and click 'Submit'.

About our Projects

The Young Artists' Initiative is a series of workshops that trains young Creatives to develop large-scale multimedia projects.

The Young Artists' Initiative trains budding artists, writers, directors and producers to develop their skills.

Students will be tutored by industry professionals, who will mentor them as they develop large-scale multimedia projects.

Our process

Our students will be led through the pre-production, production and post-production stages of creating a multimedia project.

FAQ

Each project is created by a different group of students and studio collaborators.

If you are cast for any of these roles, you'll be contacted by our casting representative, and you'll be able to negotiate your rates with them.

If you are cast, your clips will be used for previews for our character arcs.

Your audition clips will not be used without your permission.

We aim to announce our selected VAs between 24-48 hours after the audition deadline has passed.

We would prefer you to use our submission form, as this would allow us to collect your audition clips more efficiently.

Of course! We keep all of our auditions on record. Even if you aren’t cast for this project, we’ll contact you about future opportunities.

If a character has a "Standard American" accent, we'd like you to use a typical General American accent for all of your lines.

Sorry, friend. Auditions will be closed after the deadline we've listed. However, we'll regularly update our platform with new audition opportunities.

You're welcome to submit 1-3 takes per line. Compile all of your takes for each line into a single file.

Label each line according to their line number. If there are four lines for your character, you should have four files in total.

We're always looking for new talent. Feel free to share your demo reel, profile, website, etc. in your audition email.

If you're shortlisted for our roles, you'll hear back from us approximately 24 hours after the audition deadline has passed.

Please don't hate us if we don't send you a reply. Due to the number of auditions we receive, we may not be able to respond to each email. However, we appreciate your submission, and we hope that you'll continue to support our projects!

Unfortunately, our team has a lot on their plate, and we may not be able to deliver feedback to individual VAs.
