Suit Up For Meister High - A Super-Powered Visual Novel

Meister High is a sci-fi Visual Novel that the students of our Young Artists' Initiative (YAI) program will produce together. Assisted by our industry partners, students will create individual characters, settings and arcs inside a universe that they have developed as a class.

About The Project

In this Visual Novel, players are enrolled into a school where gifted teenagers with special powers may develop their supernatural abilities. Aside from honing their skills in class, they are also sent across the world to combat the supernatural threats that plague its cities.

Students will develop a game with the following features:

Create Characters

Players have the option to customise their avatar's personality and powers. Alternatively, they have the option to play the game with a pre-existing character, whose personality and powers are already defined.

Players will be able to form a Task Force of up to five NPCs, who will assist them throughout the game. They may select their teammates from a range of more than fifty characters, all of which have widely different personalities, skills and powers.

Customisable Story

Players may unlock different story routes according to the club they join, the friends they make, and the cities that they choose to protect. We are planning to include a range of more than fifty characters within our game, which will allow players to unlock multiple story routes, and build relationships with certain Cadets.

Interactive Locations

Players may explore a campus that's filled with 3D locations. Each location has point-and-click navigation options, which allow them to interact with their surroundings, obtain bonus items, explore hidden levels and unlock secret areas.

Missions and Locations

Players will also be sent on Missions, which are located in a range of more than twenty different cities. Their missions will be outlined on an interactive map, which allows them to explore locations and levels.

Unlock Inventory Items with Experience Points

Players may complete missions to gain experience points, which may be used to unlock bonus weapons, equipment, outfits and more. They may collect items for themselves, or equip their teammates with items that may be used in the field.

Combat Options

Players may use their sprites to defeat enemies and navigate through the locations they've unlocked. They may customise:

Their mission's level of difficulty.
The teammates who will join them on their missions.
Inventory items that will allow them to navigate through specific environments.

Achievements

Players may make choices, learn new skills from their classmates, and attend extra-curricular sessions with their super-powered tutors. This will allow them to level up, obtain new gear, unlock new story routes, complete secret missions and more.
